As we shared in our earlier blog posts, the DDCE Research Planning Committee sent an online survey to DDCE portfolios and units to gather baseline data on their most recent research and publication efforts over the past five years. In our next blog posts, we’ll begin highlighting the research projects in more detail, but here are a few examples from the 26 units that responded to the survey:
Presentations
- Gender and Sexuality Center students conducting a workshop and performing at the Creating Change Conference
- A continuing series, entitled “Developing an Inclusive Workplace,” which includes approximately 20 four-hour sessions with central office staff at Austin Independent School District, co-presented by Dr. Betty Jeanne Taylor from Diversity Education Initiatives and Dr. Mark Gooden from the College of Education
- Numerous trainings by Dr. Jennifer Maedgen and Linda Millstone to UT-Austin campus audiences regarding accessibility, disability and equal employment opportunity issues
