LCAE Opens New Journalism Writing Center


Do you dream of a career in journalism yet struggle with writing tight leads and strong nut graphs? The Longhorn Center for Academic Excellence, through Gateway Scholars, is launching a pilot for a Journalism Writing Center designed to bridge that gap. A journalism writing coach will work one-on-one with you at the Belo Center for New Media (3.372) to improve your writing, organize peer critique groups and lead workshops to reinforce critical core skills in journalism. Diana Dawson, coach and center director, is a nationally recognized reporter and writer who has taught the beginning newswriting class in the School of Journalism for 17 years.
