As well as housing the Social Justice Institute and the Regional Foundation Library, the following community organizations are located in the Community Engagement Center:

Colony Park Sustainable Community Initiative 
The Colony Park Sustainable Community Initiative  is a one-year project that includes a partnership between the University of Texas at Austin, the City of Austin and Austin Community College to develop a master plan for a 208-acre tract owned by the city in the Colony Park neighborhood.

Austin Immigrant Rights CoalitionAIRC_logo
Affiliated with the Social Justice Institute, the Austin Immigrant Rights Coalition (AIRC) promotes human rights and dignity, and social and economic justice for immigrants through community organizing, policy advocacy and public education.

Foodways Texas
Foodways Texas is an organization founded by scholars, chefs, journalists, restaurateurs, farmers, ranchers, and other citizens of the state of Texas who have made it their mission to preserve, promote and celebrate the diverse food cultures of Texas.

SANDE Youth Project
SANDE (Spirit, Attitude, Nutrition, Deeds, and Effort) is dedicated to increasing awareness about the rich culinary and cultural heritage of African Americans and to combating childhood hunger, obesity and disease by teaching basic cooking skills and nutrition to at-risk young people and their families.

African American Cultural Heritage District
The African American Cultural Heritage District (AACHD) is a non-profit organization created to serve as a catalyst for projects and activities that are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for residents and small businesses of Central East Austin while preserving and protecting the cultural legacy of this historically Black community.
