Diversity Education Initiatives (DEI) provides diversity education through consultation and the facilitation of educational programs for The University of Texas at Austin and community.

Programs are designed to meet the goals and needs of the organization and have included: building awareness of social identities, developing an inclusive workplace, engaging communities through dialogue, and exploring privilege and socialization.

Connect with this network of UT faculty, staff, and community members who are engaged in conversations around diversity and social justice issues.

10:30 a.m. -  12:00 p.m. in the Texas Union Chicano Culture Room (UNB 4.206)

 

DEI is a unit of Campus Diversity and Strategic Initiatives (CDSI), a portfolio within the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. As a unit of CDSI, Diversity Education Initiatives also assists with multiple CDSI projects including campus climate bias incident response and campus diversity planning.

Dr. Mark Gooden and Dr. Betty Jeanne Taylor facilitate a diversity education session for Austin Independent School District central administration staff.
