In 2011, Free Minds began offering eight-week long Writing Workshops as a way to expand our reach and offer additional educational opportunities for adults.
The goals of these workshops are to:
Help workshop participants improve their skill and comfort with writing
Create a supportive community environment which fosters development in critical thinking and communication
Introduce workshop participants to foundational humanities texts and higher education opportunities
Since 2011, Free Minds has offered six different workshop sessions, facilitated by volunteers and Free Minds staff members, serving over 60 community members.
