Orange Jacket’s Week of Women

Week of Women began as a Tappee project and quickly turned into an annual tradition. Each spring, Orange Jackets hosts a week of events to honor women centered around the theme of “Inform, Empower, and Celebrate.” Concerning issues of, workplace inequality, political empowerment of women, sex and sexual assault, and women in popular culture, the Week’s purpose is to educate the university community on issues that affect women and to honor the great women in our society.

In Partnership With: The Women’s Resource Agency, Feminist Action Project, the Gender & Sexuality Center, the Tejas Club, and Voices Against Violence, The Coalition

The Vagina Monologues performance sponsored by the Women’s Resource Agency will be March 21-23 at 7pm in Burdine 106. This year’s show will be both spoken and signed in ASL. The resource fair will start at 6pm.

TICKETS are on sale for $10 cash-only in the UT Gender & Sexuality Center in SAC 2.112. Please bring exact change. You may also purchase them for $10 via credit card online HERE.

If you purchase your tickets online, you will need to get your tickets at will-call between 6 and 6:45 pm the night of the performance in Burdine next to the performance hall. Tickets will be sold for $15 the days of the performances.

his queer, spiritual and ethnic identities. Raja will share stories of being raised in a traditional Hindu religious community, growing up in the U.S. and the struggle to balance both worlds.
