Gatchet interviewed east Austin musicians Matthew Robinson, Donald “Duck” Jennings and Henry “Bluesboy” Hubbard as part of the Interpreting Texas Past oral history project which was under DDCE’s Intellectual Entrepreneurship program. Read more on the University of Texas KNOW site.

Materials resulting from ITP may be found online on the Carver Museum and Cultural Center Web site. Articles and audio clips from Roger Gatchet’s oral histories and others related to East Austin musicians reside on the Diverse Arts Web site, a site dedicated to preserving blues music in East Austin. His interview with Mathew Robinson found a wide audience in December 2009 issue of Living Blues magazine.
