The public is invited to a the grand opening of an exhibit organized by The Vietnamese American Heritage Foundation and The Center for Asian American Studies at The University of Texas at Austin. Titled “The Other Veterans: Women & Children of The Vietnam War,” the exhibit is an introspective oral history exhibit that chronicles the poignant and inspiring stories of Vietnames American women and children who survived the Vietnam War and adopted Texas as their new home.
The grand opening is scheduled for April 25, 2:00-5:00 p.m. in the Rec Sports Center (RSC 2.112), 2001 San Jacinto Blvd. Admission is free; refreshments provided.
Dr. Gregory Vincent, vice president for diversity and community engagement at The University of Texas at Austin will provide the opening remarks, beginning at 2:30, followed by the keynote speaker, Duy Loan Le.
