The National Forum for Black Public Administrators Central Texas Chapter (NFBPA-CTC) has selected Dr. Gregory J. Vincent, vice president for diversity and community engagement at The University of Texas at Austin, to receive its 2011 Marks of Excellence Award.

The chapter gives the annual award to an African American public administrator who has achieved extraordinary success in the field of public management while demonstrating an unselfish commitment to the community. The NFBPA seeks to recognize outstanding individuals whose exemplary leadership has inspired others to strive for excellence in performance and service.

Vincent will receive the award on October 14 at the 2011 Marks of Excellence Luncheon, which will be held in conjunction with the NFBPA Central Texas chapter conference in Austin.
