The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health has awarded five nonprofit advocacy groups a total of $326,436 in foundation grants to hire an in-house fellow. The fellowships are one year long with the option for a one-year extension. The groups include Centro de Salud Familiar Le Fe in El Paso and Easter Seals Central Texas, NAMI Texas, Texans Care for Children and Texas Appleseed in Austin. Fellows along with their mentors will participate in the Hogg Mental Health Policy Academy to better prepare them for their advocacy work in the state. Read more on the Hogg Foundation Web site.
