Hogg Foundation Funds 10 Tenure Track Profs at Universities Across Texas

June 29, 2012

The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health has awarded innovative grants to ten professors across the state to conduct innovative academic research in mental health.

The one-year grants, which are capped at $17,500 each are designed to support quality research in mental health and encourage grant recipients to share their findings with mental health researchers, policymakers and service providers at state and national conferences and meetings. Dr. M. Teresa Granillo from The University of Texas at Austin School of Social Work, was one of the ten who received a grant. Granillo will examine the influence that mental health challenges and services have on the academic outcomes of Latina college students.
