Heman Sweatt II, the nephew of Heman Marion Sweatt, the first African American admitted to The University of Texas School of Law, was interviewed by Daily Texan staff regarding the Fisher v. University of Texas case to be heard before the Supreme Court on October 10. Sweatt also discussed his experiences at the university as a student and a conversation he had with his uncle before the elder Heman Sweatt’s death. Read the interview online at the Daily Texan.
