Last week, the Feminist Action Project concluded their semester meetings with a potluck in the Gender and Sexuality Center. People brought all sorts of snacks, including homemade marshmallows, couscous, raspberry cheesecake and many more delectable treats! Amid cheerful music and intense conversation (ranging from topics about if feminism is as important today as it once was and the gender politics of being a UT student) attendees also painted shirts; some bearing the Feminist Action Project logo and others, the words “Gender Justice League.”
This year’s potluck was a wonderful end to our semester, and could not have happened without the support of the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement and the Gender and Sexuality Center. The Feminist Action Project looks forward to resuming their weekly meetings in January on Wednesdays at 7:30PM in the Gender and Sexuality Center, and hopes that the success of this event will bring many new members!
