On February 22, China Care hosted its fourth annual Benefit Night, a talent show that drew in a crowd of hundreds. The purpose of Benefit Night was to raise funds to sponsor surgeries and post-op care for orphans in China. Performers included Sweet Dollar Tea, Hum A Cappella, Roustabouts, and AACMapella, with special appearances by Albert Im and Josh Klaus. The event was hosted by Alexis Wong and Nikki Pagdanganan. The exhilarating event came to an end with Amber Mercado taking first place, DJ & Company in second, and last, but not least, Redefined Dance Company obtaining third place. The theme this year was time travel, and performers brought back oldies anywhere from the 20th century to familiar tunes from modern times. In addition to engaging performances, guests enjoyed bonding with their friends through photo booth pictures and delicious food.
China Care’s Benefit Night was co-sponsored by the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement.
