The Central Texas Black Cultural and Health Festival presents the 2013 Texas Relays Parade and Community Jam Session on Friday, March 29, 2013, 6-9 p.m.
The parade will begin at 6 p.m. at Huston-Tillotson University and will end at the George Washington Carver Museum. A brief program and community jam session will immediately follow at the Carver Museum with musical performances by high school and middle school bands.
The program will include a tribute to B.L. Joyce, the first African American AISD band director, and a Division of Diversity and Community Engagement tribute to Larry Jackson, founder of the Central Texas Black Cultural and Health Festival, for his contribution to the Texas Relays.
