Learn more about consent and boundaries with Voices Against Violence this week

April 1, 2013

Do you know what consent means? Do you know how to navigate the many boundaries that come up in relationships?

If not, you might want to check out the hour-long interactive workshop, Get Sexy. Get Consent.

The program is sponsored by Voices Against Violence and the UT Counseling and Mental Health Center. It examines how we negotiate sex and consent, boundaries and safety. Trained student-facilitators act out scenes, monologues and improv dialogues to engage audiences with questions about how you can tell when someone else wants what you want in sexual situations.

Get Sexy. Get Consent. is a free program available for student groups and classrooms.

Upcoming performances are:

  • Tuesday, April 2nd 11:00am-noon, in the Texas Union, Sinclair Suite. UNB 3.128 – FREE PIZZA
  • Thursday, April 4th, 7:30-8:45, CLA 0.126
  • Thursday, April 18th, 7:00-8:15pm, Texas Union, Chicano Culture Room (part of PRIDE week, and co-sponsored by Queer Students Alliance).
