IE is featured in new book on creativity and entrepreneurship

June 14, 2013

A book to be released in July, Creativity and Entrepreneurship–Changing Currents in Education and Public Life, includes a chapter that builds upon the Intellectual Entrepreneurship (IE) concept and program developed by Dr. Rick Cherwitz at the University of Texas at Austin. The chapter, written by University of Illinois professor Liora Bresler, and titled “Academic Intellectual Entrepreneurs: Interdisciplinary Innovation in University Settings.” It can be previewed online.  Another chapter, “How to Make an Entrepreneur,” written by Carolyn Roark, Kevin Daum and Mary Abrahams, draws heavily on IE.

Cherwitz is pleased with IE’s prominence in the new book edited by Lynn Book and Peter Phillips, saying that it is “another example of IE’s growing traction programmatically and in the scholarly literature.”
