On April 14, 2013, Texas Blazers held their annual Frisbee Fling fundraising event across campus. Held each year, this event’s proceeds entirely supports the Texas Blazers Endowed Scholarship, which is facilitated by the university to provide scholarships to deserving college-bound high school graduates from Eastside Memorial High School. Frisbee Fling is a disc golf tournament for both competitive and recreational teams of four people played from Main Mall across campus through to LBJ Library and Museum. Hundreds of individuals from across Austin registered to play this year, making it another successful year! Texas Blazers could not have put on this wonderful event without the great support from our donors, including the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement. As we look forward, Texas Blazers hopes to expand the event to allow more teams to compete and raise even more money in the hopes of providing additional scholarships to multiple high school graduates.

Texas Blazers Frisbee Fling 2013 was co-sponsored by the Division of Diversity and Community Engagement.
