AACHD to Offer East Austin Juneteenth Tour on June 14

Austin’s African American Cultural Heritage District (AACHD) would like to invite DDCE staff and faculty to participate in our tour of East Austin’s historically black community on June 14, at 10:30 am. The tour is in conjunction with the Carver Museum’s Juneteenth Celebration.

This tour will take you through the history of the African American District, the City of Austin, and Texas. It also highlights stories about remarkable people, and important African American historical sites.
