Transportation and Parking:
The Project tries to provide a quality experience for volunteers, while also respecting both the environment as well as the residents of our partner neighborhoods. We hope that all our volunteers will make every effort to carpool, ride our provided buses, or take public transportation to and from Dove Springs to decrease our environmental and residential impact on February 23rd. We provide some transportation to and from the UT campus, and encourage the majority of our volunteers to carpool to Dove Springs to check in and continue on to the work sites.
Shuttle Buses:
Shuttles will be available all day for any volunteers who would like to ride. Bus pick-up and drop-off will be at the UT campus, Student Services Building (100 W. Dean Keeton St).
Drivers:
Volunteers are welcome to drive to Project 2013 – carpooling is encouraged! Parking is limited throughout Dove Springs, and we ask that you please respect the neighborhood residents and allow for their parking needs first. Volunteers who drive will go to Project Headquarters at The Dove Springs Recreation Center to check in and attend the volunteer welcome, and from there will head to assigned work sites.

8:30am – Kick-Off program 1 begins
9:15am – Kick-off program 1 concludes
Volunteers are dismissed to worksites
10:00am – Shift 1 begins
10:30am – Check-in opens for Shift 2 (Dove Springs Recreation Center)
11:30am – Kick-Off program 2 begins
12:15pm – Kick-off program 2 concludes
Volunteers are dismissed to worksites
1:00pm – Shift 2 begins
2:00pm – Shift 1 ends
Volunteers are dismissed to go home/community fair
5:00pm – Shift 2 ends
Volunteers are dismissed to go home
*2pm-10pm a percentage of all proceeds at the Plucker’s on Rio Grande go towards Project 2013!*
